Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ruslan Boloev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yas Uru (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ruslan Boloev!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Yas Uru!
The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Aleksandr Martynov and Vladimir Khabensky.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boloev fails with a takedown attempt.
Boloev changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Uru tries to avoid it but Boloev manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Uru to the ground. Uru escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Uru displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Boloev.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ruslan Boloev. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Boloev doesn't succeed with the takedown
enabling Uru to counter with a crisp jab.
Boloev tries to score a power double leg takedown but Uru sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Boloev somewhat.
Boloev tries for a takedown but Uru sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Boloev closes the distance and clinches up with Uru, looking for a takedown. Boloev pushes Uru against the cage but Uru circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Uru throws a good cross that connects.
Boloev fails with the takedown
and Uru counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Boloev takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Boloev tries for a takedown but Uru sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Boloev takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Boloev throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Uru tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Boloev is in Uru's guard.
Uru keeping moving, preventing Boloev from controlling successfully.
Boloev passes Uru's left leg - he's now in half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Boloev scoring with strikes to the body and head.
Uru wants to get back to his feet.
Boloev not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Boloev throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Boloev is looking for a kimura but Uru is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Boloev to get the leverage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Boloev is trying for a kimura here. Uru looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Boloev wins by kimura!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Ruslan Boloev!
