The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Paul Aken and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Berch fails with a takedown attempt.
Ratliff defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Berch.
Berch fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Dirk Ratliff has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Yona Berch.
Berch gets a double leg takedown into Ratliff's guard.
Ratliff has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Berch can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Berch takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Berch wants to work for an arm triangle but Ratliff is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Oh Ratliff is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Berch is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Ratliff is hurt! He's hurt bad - Berch fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Ratliff from any more punishment! Congratulations to Berch! Great finish!
