Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Logan Estrada (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carter Ballantine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carter Ballantine has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Logan Estrada's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Logan Estrada! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Carter Ballantine! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Gregory Folan and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ballantine misses with a series of wild punches.
Estrada circles away from the clinch attempt.
Estrada tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Ballantine smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
It looks like Logan Estrada has been cut. Estrada fails with the takedown. Ballantine has closed the distance and engaged Estrada in a clinch.
Estrada wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Ballantine keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Estrada's efforts to push away. Estrada is looking to break free of the clinch but Ballantine has double underhooks. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ballantine pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Ballantine drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Ballantine accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Estrada being controlled here, momentarily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Estrada is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Ballantine lands a couple of digs. Ballantine throwing strikes from guard but Estrada blocks nicely. Ballantine slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Estrada keeping moving, preventing Ballantine from controlling successfully. Estrada had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Ballantine defends it easily. Estrada working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Ballantine doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Ballantine manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Ballantine passes into half guard. Estrada is looking to control Ballantine's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Estrada avoid being mounted? Ballantine moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from Estrada. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ballantine in side control lands a decent elbow. The referee asks Ballantine politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Ballantine prefers to stall for the moment though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ballantine wants to stand but Estrada is controlling his arm. Estrada can't do much from the bottom here. Estrada misses with a strike from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ballantine cracks Estrada with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Estrada is rocked! Estrada taking punishment in the form of punches.
Oh Estrada is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Ballantine controls the position from side control. Ballantine wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Estrada, who protects the arm well. Ballantine avoids the strikes from the bottom by Estrada. Ballantine is staying tight to Estrada's torso, preventing him from escaping. It looks like Ballantine might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Let's hope that Ballantine has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Ballantine scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Estrada to see if he's OK. Ballantine is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Estrada's shoulder. That is not cool. Ballantine scores with punches from side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here as Ballantine stalls from top position. Ballantine looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Ballantine looks winded! Ballantine creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Ballantine controlling from side mount. Estrada misses with an elbow from the bottom. A big shot lands for Ballantine! That's hurt Estrada! Will he recover? Ballantine fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!
