Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eugene Moss (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Pop (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jack Pop has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Eugene Moss!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jack Pop!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, William Gold and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moss fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Pop avoids it really well and circles away.

Pop gets the takedown into side control.
Moss wants to control but Pop postures up.
Moss dodges the ground and pound from Pop.
Pop controlling the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Pop tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A lull in the action here as Pop stalls from top position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Moss looking for a sweep but Pop has passed into full mount! Oh no!
Moss wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Pop.
Pop is looking to stand but Pop has his arms wrapped tightly around him, looking to prevent the damage.
Moss really is a fat lump.
Pop working the ground and pound effectively.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Pop controlling from mount.
Pop raining down hammerfists from mount.
Pop fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Moss is wriggling around trying to escape.
Moss is in a horrible position here. Pop smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Pop takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Pop's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Pop cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Moss gets back to half guard.
Pop working over Moss with some ground and pound. Moss looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Moss trying to hold on to Pop's head to control him but Pop postures up.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Pop wants to get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Pop not doing much here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jack Pop dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Pop manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Moss on his heels. He'll look to pass Moss's guard now, I'm sure.
Pop engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Pop has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Pop slips nicely into half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Moss trying to hold on to Pop's head to control him but Pop postures up.
Pop trying to pass the guard but Moss defending well.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Moss is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Pop trying to control the pace.
Moss is trying to stand back up but Pop is controlling him

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Pop looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Pop shoots and misses

and Moss counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Moss.
Pop doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

Pop looking for a guillotine here but Moss defends easily.

Pop working for a triangle but Moss defends it easily.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Pop looking for a sweep. Not yet Pop, not yet.
Moss won't allow Pop to get back to his feet.

Pop looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Pop controls Moss momentarily but Moss frees himself.
Pop working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Moss.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Pop is adopting a defensive guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Pop tries a head kick but it misses.
Pop dives in for a single leg takedown but Moss sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Moss wants to break free but Pop has control.
Moss fails to pull guard.
Stalling in the clinch from Pop.
Pop blocking some punches.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jack Pop showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!


Pop tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Moss is able to avoid easily.

Pop shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Pop drops back, looking for a kneebar! Moss looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Moss looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Moss!


Moss goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Pop rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Moss's guard! Nice work there by Pop!

Pop is in close to Moss's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Pop controls from within his opponent's guard.

Moss is trying to keep Pop in close.
Pop is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Jack Pop has got the better of the ground game so far.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Pop postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Moss is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Pop, into his guard.

Pop pulls Moss in close to prevent any damage.
Moss stopping the sweep attempt from Pop.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Pop seems keen to control Moss's posture.
Pop is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Moss is controlling him.
Pop wants to sweep here but Moss controlling him for the moment.
Moss might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Pop working for submissions but it's allowed Moss to get to half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Pop works his way to full guard. Good work.
Pop striking off his back but it's not causing Moss any problems.
Moss throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Pop drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Pop is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

And that's the end of the fight!
Jack Pop comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Pop winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
