Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mingi Tyyp (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and JR Adams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Adams has chosen 'Looking For The Stone' by Dry Branch Fire Squad as his entrance music. Mingi Tyyp has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Mingi Tyyp! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
17 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, JR Adams! The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Ryoma Takatsuka and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Adams closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Tyyp quickly recovers to half guard. Adams sitting and controlling from the half guard. Tyyp trying to control from the bottom.
Tyyp on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Tyyp tries to get out of the position. Adams thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Tyyp's head. Tyyp is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Adams jumps into side control! Adams trying to control the action but Tyyp is working from the bottom. Adams takes a little break here. Tyyp wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tyyp dodges the ground and pound from Adams. My spies in Lock and Roll Grappling Gym inform me that Adams has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!
That's one minute gone in the round. Tyyp trying his best to control but Adams has mounted him. Tyyp knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Adams on the ground. Adams looking to control but Tyyp is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Adams looking to finish Tyyp with some ground and pound. This is bad for Tyyp! Adams trying to control but Tyyp is having none of it. Adams with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Tyyp in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Adams has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Adams unloads with some shots from mount but Tyyp bucks and avoids them well.
Adams has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Tyyp's face.

This has been an exciting period of action! Tyyp is looking to improve his position but Adams isn't that keen on the idea.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Adams wants to control the pace but Tyyp is squirming around nicely. Adams is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Tyyp has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Tyyp! Adams looking to control.
Adams tries to land a sweep but no joy. Adams is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Tyyp is not content to let Adams control the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Adams lands a nice short elbow. Adams is looking to advance position but Tyyp won't allow it. Tyyp is staying active underneath Adams, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Adams stalling. Adams trying to pass the guard but Tyyp defending well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
JR Adams dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Adams shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Tyyp as he jumps to the side. Tyyp is looking for a counter combo. Tyyp defending well as Adams loads up on a big left hand. Tyyp tries to land a front kick but Adams steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Adams lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Tyyp throws a sloppy body shot
and Adams counters with a nice uppercut. Tyyp throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
JR Adams seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Tyyp misses with an attempted mid kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Adams closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Adams lands in his opponent's guard. Adams trying to control the position from guard on top but Tyyp is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round. Adams is pushing down on Tyyp's leg trying to pass to half guard. Tyyp is fighting to maintain full guard but Adams has managed to sneak the leg through. Adams passes to full mount! Adams has hold of Tyyp's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Tyyp manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Adams lands with some strikes. Adams throws some wild stikes that Tyyp manages to avoid easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Tyyp taking shots to the head. Adams lands with some strikes. Adams lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Tyyp hang on? Adams wants to control the pace but Tyyp is squirming around nicely. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Adams working the ground and pound effectively.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Tyyp wants to hold on but Adams pushes him away. Adams wants to control the pace but Tyyp is squirming around nicely. Adams looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Adams has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Tyyp is in a horrible position here. Adams smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Tyyp is rocked! Adams drops a big elbow. That's hurt Tyyp! More shots from Adams and the ref steps in! The fight is over!
