Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dylan Llewellyn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kendrick Garcia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Garcia's choice of entrance music: Break Stuff. Kendrick Garcia has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Dylan Llewellyn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Kendrick Garcia!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Kenichi Hosakawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Garcia throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Llewellyn shoots in looking for a takedown but Garcia manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Llewellyn's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Garcia misses with an uppercut. Llewellyn saw that one coming.
Garcia swats away the attempt to clinch by Llewellyn.

Llewellyn moves into the clinch successfully.

Llewellyn pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Garcia throws a series of punches but Llewellyn moves out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Llewellyn counters with a three punch combo that has Garcia backing up. Garcia nods at Llewellyn to acknowledge the strikes.

Llewellyn instigates a clinch.
Garcia is trying to push Llewellyn away but Llewellyn has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Llewellyn has Garcia pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Garcia manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Garcia is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Llewellyn can't fight it off and eventually Garcia manages to take the fight to the floor. Llewellyn looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Garcia must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Llewellyn utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Llewellyn controls Garcia momentarily but Garcia frees himself.

Llewellyn wants to sweep here but Garcia controlling him for the moment.
Garcia wants to stand and escape but instead Llewellyn has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.


Llewellyn drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Garcia manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Llewellyn has Garcia in his guard.

Llewellyn wants to stand up but Garcia is controlling him.
Garcia postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Llewellyn working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Garcia doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Garcia manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Llewellyn lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Garcia circles away quickly and effectively.

Kendrick Garcia dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

No joy there for Garcia, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Llewellyn circles away from the clinch attempt.

and Garcia counters with a straight right hand.
Garcia looks to land a combination but Llewellyn avoids it well.
Garcia falls off balance throwing a combination
and Llewellyn counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Garcia is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Kendrick Garcia seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Llewellyn plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Llewellyn takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

and Llewellyn holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Garcia has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Llewellyn is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

Garcia does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Garcia will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Llewellyn really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Garcia fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Llewellyn sprawls well initially but Garcia persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Garcia working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Llewellyn's thigh. Llewellyn counters though and makes it back to full guard.

Llewellyn is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Garcia defends well.

I've got Garcia winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
