Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Old Hanma!
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Winston Alpacca and Bart Greer.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sambo looks to clinch
and Hanma counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Hanma.
Hanma thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Sambo being controlled here, momentarily.
Hanma's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hanma drops back looking for a leg! Sambo is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Sambo manages to kick Hanma off! Hanma jumps back into Sambo's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.

Sambo is trying to keep Hanma in close.
Hanma sitting in guard, not really doing much.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Hanma drops back looking for a leg! Sambo is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Sambo manages to kick Hanma off! Hanma jumps back into Sambo's guard.
Hanma is stalling in the full guard.
Hanma won't allow Sambo to sweep him here.
Hanma is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Hanma controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Hanma sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Sambo's guard.
Sambo is looking for a sweep. Hanma is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Hanma is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Sambo is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Old Hanma!
A relieved looking Old Hanma thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
