Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rodrigo Marcon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yoshihiro Akyama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Yoshihiro Akyama acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Rodrigo Marcon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Yoshihiro Akyama!
The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Michael Johnstone and Santiago Holmes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marcon throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Akyama.
Marcon changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Akyama tries to avoid it but Marcon manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Akyama to the ground. Akyama escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Akyama tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Marcon swivels and escapes.
Akyama shoots in for a double leg but Marcon sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Marcon misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Marcon rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Akyama moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Marcon is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Akyama.
