Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Anthony Melendez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcin Lasota (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Anthony Melendez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Marcin Lasota!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Columbo Gatti and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lasota scores with a crisp jab that stopped Melendez in his tracks.

Lasota looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Melendez tries for a takedown but Lasota circles away easily
and Lasota counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Melendez ducks right into an uppercut from Lasota.
Melendez shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Lasota is pushing down on Melendez's leg trying to pass to half guard. Melendez is fighting to maintain full guard but Lasota has managed to sneak the leg through.

Marcin Lasota showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!



Lasota closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Melendez quickly recovers to half guard.
Melendez tries to roll over but Lasota keeps him under control.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Lasota got a little sloppy there for a moment and Melendez has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Lasota has managed to get both his arms back between Melendez's legs - danger averted.

Lasota thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Melendez dives in and grabs Lasota's left leg, looking for a takedown. Lasota pushes down on Melendez's head and hops out.

Well Lasota has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

A very excited looking Marcin Lasota rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
