Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Mario Oliveira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Derryl Karroki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mario Oliveira! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Derryl Karroki! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, George Francis and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Karroki throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Karroki misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Oliveira shoots in and gets a takedown into Karroki's guard. Karroki keeping full guard, as Oliveira tries to pass. Oliveira won't allow Karroki to get back to his feet. Oliveira is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Oliveira's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
That's one minute gone in the round.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Karroki feints a jab promting Oliveira to slip. Karroki then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Oliveira slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Oliveira tries to score a power double leg takedown but Karroki sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Oliveira somewhat. Karroki misses with a double jab
and Oliveira counters with a body kick that stops Karroki in his tracks momentarily. Oliveira is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Oliveira shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Karroki napping and manages to drive through into side control!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Oliveira slows the pace down. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Karroki avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Oliveira. Oliveira controls the position. Karroki really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Oliveira. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Oliveira is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Karroki knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Oliveira controlling from side mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Oliveira scoring with punches and elbows. Oliveira tries for a kimura but Karroki is defending well. Karroki takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Oliveira has hold of Karroki's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Karroki seems comfortable defending it but Oliveira has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Karroki is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Karroki is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Oliveira couldn't care less - he's delighted!
