Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Hakob (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gunner Harris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Daniel Hakob! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Gunner Harris! The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Steve Montenegro and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hakob misses with an uppercut
and Harris holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Harris blocks an elbow strike. Harris blocks the elbow strike.
Hakob throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Harris manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Harris has Hakob pulled in close to control his posture. Hakob throws a big elbow that misses. Harris wants to get back to his feet but Hakob is in a dominant position and won't allow it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hakob is looking to pass into half guard but Harris pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Harris is in guard. Harris slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Hakob throws a hook to the side of Harris's head but Harris sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Hakob jabbing away but nothing is landing. Hakob gets tackled into the cage by Harris. Harris maintains the clinch. With the fighters up against the cage, Hakob throws an elbow but misses. Harris blocks an elbow strike. Harris breaks the clinch.

Harris shoots in for a double leg but Hakob sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Hakob looks to clinch and Harris counters with a shoot takedown. Hakob fights it but they end up in guard. Harris content to stall in guard here. Hakob looking to control.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Harris not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Hakob misses with a left hand and Harris counters with a straight right hand.
It looks like Daniel Hakob has been cut. Harris closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Hakob quickly recovers to half guard. Harris uses his free foot to push down on Hakob's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Hakob. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Harris content just to control the position here. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Harris is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Hakob has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Gunner Harris dominated that round. The cut man is working on Daniel Hakob's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Hakob throws a hook to the side of Harris's head but Harris sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Harris has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Hakob moves into the clinch. Hakob lands a nice elbow from the clinch. Hakob creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. Harris pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Harris swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Harris shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Hakob as he jumps to the side. Harris has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Hakob is landing a low percentage of strikes. Harris misses with a series of wild punches.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hakob misses with a right hand so Harris counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Harris controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Hakob preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!

Let's hope that Harris has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Harris scoring with punches to the head and body. Harris's corner is telling him to maintain position.

That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Harris throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Hakob's waist but Hakob gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Harris off to one side. Hakob tries to clinch but Harris moves out of range. Hakob throws a right hand that misses
and Harris counters with a nice double leg into guard. Harris gets to his feet - Hakob follows without any prompting. Hakob swings widly with a right hand
and Harris counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Hakob clinches. Harris drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Harris is trying to drag Hakob to the mat but Hakob just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Harris blocks an elbow strike. Hakob pushes off an throws an elbow but Harris leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. Harris avoids a wild elbow strike from Hakob. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Hakob tries to get out of the position.
