Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Wilfred Klein (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mohamad Izzat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mohamad Izzat has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Wilfred Klein's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Wilfred Klein! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mohamad Izzat! The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Dmitry Maklakov and Fedor Mirinova.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Izzat with a lazy takedown attempt and Klein holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Izzat is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Klein pulls him back up using the underhooks. Klein breaks the clinch.
Klein has closed the distance and engaged Izzat in a clinch.
Klein wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Izzat tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Klein smiles and moves away.
Wilfred Klein has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mohamad Izzat. Klein is looking to clinch. Izzat walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Klein throws out a loose jab but Izzat uses good head movement to avoid it. Izzat walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Klein checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Klein closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Izzat keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Klein's efforts to push away. Klein manages to break the clinch.
Izzat misses with a body kick. Klein pushes Izzat up against the cage in a clinch. Klein escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Izzat goes for a double leg but Klein avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Klein continues to drive forward. Izzat prevents Klein from breaking the clinch. Klein breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Izzat moves into the clinch successfully.
Izzat has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Klein avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Klein breaks the clinch.
Izzat gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Klein moves into the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Izzat wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Klein has him pressed against the cage. Klein can't break the clinch.
Klein's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Izzat closes the distance and pushes Klein back into the cage. Klein is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Klein wants to break free but Izzat has control.
Izzat takes a shot to the head. A right hand to the body from Klein.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Klein. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Izzat is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Klein gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Izzat is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Klein is defending well. Klein avoiding damage as Izzat throws knees to the body.
Izzat tries to score a body lock takedown but Klein shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Izzat looks winded! Izzat using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Klein has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Izzat is trying to pull guard but Klein has him pressed against the cage. Izzat wants to take the fight to the mat but Klein manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Klein blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Izzat blocks an elbow strike. Klein breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Klein bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Klein controls the position from side control. Klein thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Check out the look on Klein's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Izzat is trying to escape the position but Klein is controlling the position. Klein is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Izzat knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Klein grinds an elbow into Izzat's temple. Klein tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Klein has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Klein goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Izzat has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Klein but great work by Izzat. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Klein slips under a jab. Klein stuffs the takedown. Izzat fails with the takedown. Wilfred Klein is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Klein dives in and scores a takedown into Izzat's guard. Izzat working a defensive guard here.
Klein with a flurry of punches that miss. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Izzat looking to hit a scissor sweep but Klein is one step ahead there. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Izzat wants to control but Klein passes easily into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Izzat is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Izzat tries to kick Klein off but Klein keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Klein is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Izzat sees it coming and defends easily. Klein is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Izzat has managed to free his arm - good work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Klein is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Izzat is just riding it out for now. Klein eventually gives up the hold. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Izzat lands a couple of sideways elbows.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Izzat doesn't succeed with the takedown and Klein counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Izzat thinking. Wilfred Klein has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mohamad Izzat. Klein lands with an overhand left. No joy there for Klein, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Klein closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. A body shot lands from Klein.

Izzat has Klein pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Izzat pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Klein tumbling to the mat - Izzat dives into Klein's guard. Izzat is breathing heavily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Izzat in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. This has been an exciting period of action! Klein is trying to control the position from the bottom.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Izzat postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Izzat postures up in Klein's guard and throws a big left but Klein blocks it. Klein keeping moving, preventing Izzat from controlling successfully. Izzat loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Izzat gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Klein counters with a left and a right that stings Izzat. Wilfred Klein has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mohamad Izzat. Izzat takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Klein moves into range and clinches up with Izzat. Izzat drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Klein gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Izzat jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Klein walks away with a smile on his face. Izzat gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Klein scores with a hook. Izzat shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Klein napping and manages to drive through into side control! Klein wants to control but Izzat postures up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Klein wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Izzat is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Klein's shoulder. That is not cool. Izzat trying to control the action but Klein is working from the bottom. Izzat in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
And that's the end of the fight! Wilfred Klein showed his dominance in that final round. Well Klein has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
