Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Minh Mays (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Killer Mak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Minh Mays! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Killer Mak! The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Alexandre Firmino and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mak falls off balance throwing a combination
and Mays counters with a two punch combo. Mays has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Mak. Mak dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Mays. That did some damage! Mak pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Mak throws a sloppy head kick and Mays moves out of range easily. Mak fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Mays looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Mak throws a head kick that misses and Mays counters with a right hand to the body. Mays on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Mays takes the fight into the clinch. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Mays is stalling here.
Mak wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mays prevents Mak from breaking the clinch. Mays blocking some punches.
Mak is trying to force a seperation but Mays has the dominant position. Mak wants to get back to striking at distance but Mays won't allow it.
Mays is trying to break free. Mays tries to pull guard but Mak forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Mays is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Mays's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Mak misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Oooooh!!! Mak has knocked Mays down with a huge combo! Mak steps away and waves a wobbly Mays back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Mays is rocked!
It looks like Minh Mays has been cut. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Mays is keeping his hands low and just asking to be knocked out. Mak Raises his leg and lands a stunning axe kick! Mays is out cold, face down on the mat!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Killer Mak!
