Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Hipolito Snyder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Regal Bearing (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hipolito Snyder!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Regal Bearing!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Taro Takaoka and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bearing shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Snyder napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Bearing creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Snyder sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
You can see the frustration on Snyder's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Snyder wants to control but Bearing postures up.
Snyder really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bearing with the ground and pound but Snyder regains half guard under the barage of strikes.

Snyder pushes Bearing off looking to stand but Bearing dives back in and keeps control.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Bearing landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.

Snyder tries to kick Bearing off but Bearing keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Snyder takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Bearing looks to land a combination but Snyder avoids it well.
Snyder lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Snyder throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Bearing shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Snyder is trying to defend but Bearing finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Bearing working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

Bearing is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Bearing looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Snyder!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Bearing manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Snyder on his heels. He'll look to pass Snyder's guard now, I'm sure.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Bearing throws a strike but Snyder rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Snyder looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Bearing is fending him off so far but Snyder persists. Nope, Bearing circles away and we're back to standing.
Snyder tries to land a front kick but Bearing steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Snyder shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Bearing decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Some bone on bone action there as Bearing checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Bearing connects with a leg kick. Snyder looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Snyder fails to land with a series of punches.
No joy there for Bearing, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Bearing looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Snyder is looking to stand up but Bearing isn't so interested in that idea.
Snyder trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
Bearing controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Snyder has his hands on Bearing's head, controlling the position.

Bearing is looking to stand up but Snyder won't let him.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Bearing trying to control the position from guard on top but Snyder is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
A combination from Bearing does no damage.
Bearing shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Snyder's guard.
Bearing trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Bearing has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Bearing wants to stand but Snyder is controlling his posture from full guard.

Snyder wants to get back to his feet but Bearing is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Regal Bearing showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Snyder is looking to cinch up a triangle. Bearing throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Snyder's body to avoid the submission. Snyder has instead reached around Bearing's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Snyder arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
