Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between James Briggs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Abbott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). David Abbott told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Ben Zyskovitsi and Anni Minnemäki.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Briggs with that takedown attempt.
We've been hearing reports that Briggs has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Abbott lands with a good body shot.
Abbott jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Briggs keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Briggs slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Abbott misses with the combination.

Briggs tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Abbott swivels and escapes.
Abbott is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Briggs.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Abbott misses with a series of wild punches.
Briggs shoots in for a double leg but Abbott sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Briggs shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Abbott sprawls well. Abbott wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Briggs gets slowly back to his feet.
Abbott lands a jab to Briggs's midsection.
Abbott throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Briggs.
Abbott lands a big uppercut and Briggs crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Briggs looks OK. Abbott waves Briggs back to his feet!
Briggs is rocked!
It looks like James Briggs has been cut.
Briggs shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Abbott counters with a massive hook, right on the button! He's out cold! Damn, that was naaaaaasty! Hopefully he'll be OK.
