Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Thaddeus Luthor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robert May (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Robert May is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Thaddeus Luthor! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Robert May! The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Phil Schofield and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Luthor throws a push kick but May slaps the foot to one side. May throws a shot from downtown. Luthor moves away and avoids it. Luthor goes for a double leg but May avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as May continues to drive forward. Luthor is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but May is defending well. Luthor ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Luthor no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Luthor keeping full guard, as May tries to pass. Luthor looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Luthor is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Luthor trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Luthor has control of May's left arm, preventing May from doing any damage. May advances to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. May looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
May is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Luthor has managed to free his arm - good work. May tries to pass the half guard into mount. Luthor knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Luthor moves into full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Luthor managing to control the position. May is looking to advance position but Luthor has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount! May really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
May wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Luthor.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Luthor takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. May tries to reverse the position but Luthor maintains control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. May is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Luthor thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Luthor throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Luthor wants to take his opponent's back but May doesn't allow it. We've been informed that May has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Luthor trying to control but May is having none of it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Luthor controlling the pace for now. May sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Well, if Luthor is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
May tries to roll over but Luthor keeps him under control. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Luthor trying to pass the guard but May defending well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Thaddeus Luthor dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
May misses with an uppercut. May thows a left - swing and a miss! Luthor slips under a jab. Luthor shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as May sprawls well. May wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Luthor gets slowly back to his feet. May looks to land a right hand but Luthor moved out of range. Thaddeus Luthor seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Luthor darts in looking for a takedown but May gets double underhooks and turns Luthor into the cage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A left hand lands to the body for Luthor.
Luthor has May pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. May manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Thaddeus Luthor. That's going to take a lot out of him. Luthor decides to pull guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. May looking to sit in guard and control but Luthor gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Luthor is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that May can do to turn this around? May looking to hit a scissor sweep but Luthor is one step ahead there. Luthor looking to control the position here, rather than advance. There's a bit of a scramble here and now May is on top in guard.
Luthor wants to sweep here but May controlling him for the moment. May tries to free his leg and advance position but Luthor is retaining full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Luthor is trying to control the position but May postures up. Luthor keeping moving, preventing May from controlling successfully. May looking to pass the guard. Luthor is controlling May's posture. Luthor manages to escape and get back to his feet.
No luck for Luthor with that takedown attempt. Robert May is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Luthor misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Luthor just misses with a punch to the body.
May wants to clinch. The fight moves into the clinch position. Luthor lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. May fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Luthor stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
May doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Luthor throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. An uppercut to the body lands inside from Luthor. Luthor has May pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Luthor pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending May tumbling to the mat - Luthor dives into May's guard. May looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Luthor is defending well. May quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Luthor has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! May celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
