Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kangi Ojoos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pernell Karl (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kangi Ojoos! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Pernell Karl! The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Aafke Stam and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ojoos lands a body shot.
Ojoos throws a poor cross that misses
and Karl counters with a right hand to the body. Ojoos changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Karl tries to avoid it but Ojoos manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Karl to the ground. Karl escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Karl appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body. Karl throws an off balance right hand
and Ojoos connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Ojoos shoots in for a double leg but Karl sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Ojoos slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Karl lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Ojoos has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Ojoos and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Kangi Ojoos seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ojoos misses with a hook. Karl swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Ojoos on the wrong end of a nice jab. Karl lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Ojoos at a distance.
Ojoos misses with a right hand and Karl counters with a lovely shot to the body. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Ojoos throws a lazy uppercut
and Karl counters with a lovely straight right hand! Ojoos has been working on his boxing with his coaches at KO Gym in the buildup to the fight. Ojoos throws an overhand right that lands on Karl's shoulder, as Karl tries to avoid the shot. A slow jab from Ojoos misses its intended target. Ojoos throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Karl sees it coming and avoids it easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ojoos throws a series of strikes that have Karl backpedaling.
It looks like Pernell Karl has been cut. Karl throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Ojoos tries to counter with a takedown but Karl is quick to defend against it. Karl smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Ojoos takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Ojoos keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Karl misses with a looping left. Ojoos throws a predictable looking body shot
and Karl cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Ojoos connects with a good right hand that stumbles Karl. Karl circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Karl lands with a nice body punch. Pernell Karl is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Ojoos steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Karl. That one must have hurt. This has been an exciting period of action! Karl connects with an inside leg kick. Ojoos misses with a hook. It seemed like Karl was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Karl darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Karl avoids the body shot from Ojoos.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ojoos throws a body punch but Karl moves out of range. Ojoos connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Karl momentarily.
Karl ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Karl lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Ojoos backs up against the cage.
A swing and a miss from Ojoos. Ojoos throws a nice looking combination but Karl bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Ojoos missing with a left hand there. Karl was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Ojoos walks forward, straight into a front kick from Karl. Karl swings and misses with a hook to the body.
A little feinted left hand from Ojoos on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Karl lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Ojoos lands with a hook. Karl tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Ojoos throws a series of punches but Karl avoids them all with ease. Karl drops Ojoos with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Ojoos! Karl dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Pernell Karl! Pernell Karl was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
