Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Gerald Doyle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and King Kong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). King Kong has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Gerald Doyle! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, King Kong! The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Phil Schofield and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kong gets in close and instigates a clinch. Doyle changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Kong fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Kong manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Doyle on his heels. He'll look to pass Doyle's guard now, I'm sure. Kong is looking to pass into half guard but Doyle pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Doyle is in guard.
Kong escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Doyle gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Kong trying to keep a closed guard but Doyle is proving a slippery customer.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kong is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Doyle defends well. Kong working for a triangle but Doyle defends it easily.
Kong is working an open guard so Doyle takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. King Kong seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kong changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Doyle looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Kong looks winded! Doyle is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Kong's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. The fighters are battling for position here. Doyle manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kong trying to control the position from guard on top but Doyle is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Doyle trying to control the position.
Doyle keeping moving, preventing Kong from controlling successfully. Kong must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Kong gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Kong shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Doyle's guard. Kong preventing the sweep. Doyle avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Doyle looking for a sweep. Not yet Doyle, not yet. Doyle throws his legs up looking for a submission but Kong uses it to pass to side control.
Doyle is looking to regain half guard here but Kong keeps moving and retains side control. Doyle can't do much from the bottom here. Kong wants to control but Doyle is keeping him busy. Doyle is looking for a sweep.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Kong taking a break here but Doyle is having none of it and regains half guard. Kong is taking a breather. Doyle says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Doyle moves into full guard.
Kong trying to control the position from guard on top but Doyle is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Doyle will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Doyle trying to control the position.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
King Kong dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Kong closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Kong jumps into guard, dragging Doyle to the mat.
Kong is looking to sweep but instead, Doyle has passed into half guard.
Kong has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Doyle is looking for a kimura but Kong is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Doyle to get the leverage. Kong has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Doyle is working away from the top position though. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Doyle stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Kong to get to his feet. Kong tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Doyle paws at him with a jab and circles away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kong misses with a head kick.
Kong shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Kong is breathing heavily. Doyle looking to control.
Doyle bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Kong's guard. Kong looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Doyle puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Doyle is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Kong doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Doyle. Doyle is looking for a kimura but Kong is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Doyle to get the leverage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Doyle is working for a kimura but Kong is defending it quite comfortably.
Kong looks like he's trying to stand up.
Kong throws a strike from the bottom but Doyle passes into side control!
Doyle gets to mount! Kong was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Doyle stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing. Kong fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Doyle sprawls well initially but Kong persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Kong wants to control but Doyle is keeping him busy. Doyle is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Kong pulls his head out easily. King Kong has got the better of the ground game so far. Doyle is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Kong's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Kong's back! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kong is trying to get back to his feet. He's worked up on to his knees and now he's on his feet with his head on the canvas, trying to shake Doyle off. It looks like it's working - Doyle slides off, much to his dismay, and we're back to standing! Kong displaying calm under pressure there. A head kick by Kong misses and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Doyle shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Kong defends it nicely. Kong closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Doyle quickly recovers to half guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Doyle manages to get to full guard.
Kong avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Doyle lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

That was a close second round but I would say that Gerald Doyle will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Kong takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Kong is pressing down on Doyle's thigh, looking to free his foot. Doyle is holding on for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Doyle looking for submissions off his back. Doyle is trying to maintain the position but Kong is very close to passing his half guard. Doyle wants to improve his position but Kong is controlling well.
Doyle makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Doyle. Doyle can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Kong controls the pace.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Kong looking to pass the guard. Doyle manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Kong manages to get himself to full guard.
Kong working a defensive guard but Doyle manages to pass into side control anyway.
Kong is trying to strike from the bottom but Doyle has passed into full mount. Kong is trying desperately to improve position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Doyle swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Kong is now in Doyle's guard. A big mistake from Doyle there, giving up the dominant position! Doyle looking for a sweep. Not yet Doyle, not yet. Doyle working a defensive guard here.
Doyle is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Doyle is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Kong tries to free his leg and advance position but Doyle is retaining full guard. Kong has gone for a leg lock! Doyle slips out almost immediately though and dives into Kong's guard.
Doyle drops back, looking for a kneebar! Kong looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Kong looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Kong!
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Doyle is trying to get back to half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! King Kong comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Kong has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
