Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy Hyatt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and mr Benn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hyatt comes into the arena with Street fighter blaring out of the sound system. Jimmy Hyatt has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 8 - 1, fighting out of New York, Jimmy Hyatt! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, mr Benn! The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Patrick Alders and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Benn swings and misses with a shot to the body and Hyatt holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Hyatt misses with a hook from the clinch. A frustrated look appears on Benn's face as he tries to break the clinch. Benn struggles to land a body shot inside as Hyatt controls his hands.
I was talking to Hyatt's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Benn has had enough of the clinch but Hyatt keeps him there for the moment. Hyatt presses Benn against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Hyatt throws a head punch that misses. Hyatt lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Benn's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Hyatt softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Hyatt struggles to land a body shot inside as Benn controls his hands.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Benn lands a hook that snaps the head of Hyatt backwards. Benn has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Hyatt is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Hyatt lands a hook to the side of the head. Benn is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Benn is looking for a takedown. Jimmy Hyatt has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of mr Benn.
That's one minute gone in the round. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Hyatt. Hyatt lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Benn backwards. Still in the clinch, Hyatt scores with a nice short uppercut. Benn looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Hyatt lands a hook that snaps the head of Benn backwards. Hyatt tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Benn blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Hyatt misses the shot to the body. Benn is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Hyatt with a body shot. Benn has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Hyatt is landing a low percentage of strikes. Benn throws a leg kick and Hyatt counters with a straight right hand. Benn darts in looking for a takedown but Hyatt gets double underhooks and turns Benn into the cage. Hyatt tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Benn was well out of range. Poor timing from Hyatt. It seemed like Benn was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Hyatt throws a lazy body kick and Benn makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Benn with a poor takedown and Hyatt counters with a thumping low kick. Hyatt tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Benn was well out of range. Poor timing from Hyatt. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Hyatt comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Benn throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Hyatt stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Hyatt cracks Benn with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. The crowd cheers as Hyatt lands an impressive looking overhand right. Benn doesn't seem phased though. Jimmy Hyatt is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Jab from Hyatt. Benn throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Benn throws a lazy uppercut
and Hyatt counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Hyatt chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Benn misses with a straight left. Benn throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Hyatt counters with a low kick, right behind Benn 's knee. Benn throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Hyatt. Hyatt seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. Benn avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Benn tries to bum rush Hyatt with a series of wild strikes but Hyatt uses good footwork to avoid the assault. A low kick from Benn is predictable there and Hyatt counters with a slapping leg kick. Hyatt ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Hyatt darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Hyatt thuds his right hand into Benn's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Hyatt scores with a body shot.
Hyatt instigates a clinch. Hyatt doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Hyatt has Benn pressed against the cage.
Nice body punch from Hyatt. Hyatt lands a nice elbow. Hyatt misses with a short punch on the inside.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hyatt struggles to land a body shot inside as Benn controls his hands.

This has been an exciting period of action! Benn blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
A short body shot lands from Hyatt as the two fighters clinch.
Benn is trying to break the clinch but Hyatt has him pressed against the cage. Hyatt prevents the takedown attempt.
Hyatt misses with a knee strike.
Hyatt lands a hook that snaps the head of Benn backwards. A short left from Hyatt. Hyatt misses with some punches.
Benn wants to take the fight to the mat but Hyatt manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Hyatt misses with a punch on the inside.
Hyatt lands a right hand that snaps the head of Benn backwards. Hyatt scores with a shoulder strike.
Benn is rocked! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jimmy Hyatt dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Benn ducks under a wild hook from Hyatt. Benn misses with a right hand and Hyatt counters with a big right hand! Oh Benn is in trouble here! Hyatt follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!
