Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Akeen Coker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Agniesz Plonski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Agniesz Plonski is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Akeen Coker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Agniesz Plonski!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Plonski on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
A chopping leg kick lands by Coker.
Coker moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

Coker closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Plonski to the mat! Plonski manages to get full guard.
Coker stays in close to Plonski's body and controls the position.
Coker scoring with some ground and pound.
Plonski can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Coker controls the pace.
Coker postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Plonski really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Coker. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Coker slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Coker seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Plonski for as long as he can get away with.

Coker in side control, throwing shots but Plonski defends.

Plonski felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Coker connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Plonski some visible discomfort.

Plonski is trying to escape the position but Coker is controlling the position.

Coker tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Plonski on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Coker advances to full mount.
Coker lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Coker throws a good cross that connects.
Coker is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Plonski can do to turn this around?
Plonski chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Coker can pounce on him.
Plonski takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Coker throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Coker turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
A nice inside leg kick there by Coker. That's going to slow Plonski down.
Plonski misses with a takedown attempt
and Coker connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Coker shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Plonski is trying to defend but Coker finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Plonski has hold of Coker's hands but Coker slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Coker lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Plonski can do anything to dispel that myth.
Coker not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Coker frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Plonski is breathing heavily.
Coker controlling the pace for now.
Coker fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Coker is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Plonski can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Coker postures up and throws a big right hand. BOOM! Right on the button! Plonski is out cold - huge knockout for Coker!
