Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ruslan Boloev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yas Uru (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Yas Uru is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ruslan Boloev! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Yas Uru! The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Vladimir Khabensky and Konstantin Menshow.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Boloev shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Uru sprawls well. Uru wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Boloev gets slowly back to his feet. Boloev misses with a takedown and Uru counters with a right hand to the body. Boloev shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Uru counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ruslan Boloev. That's going to take a lot out of him. Boloev shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Uru pinned against the cage. Uru gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Boloev shoots in but Uru avoids the takedown attempt easily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Boloev closes the distance and clinches up with Uru, looking for a takedown. Boloev pushes Uru against the cage but Uru circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Boloev gets slowly back to his feet. Boloev fails with the takedown and Uru counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Uru leaves Boloev with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Boloev is defended easily by Uru. Boloev shoots in looking for a takedown but Uru manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Boloev's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Yas Uru is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Boloev shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Uru as he avoids it easily. Boloev misses with a takedown and Uru counters with a right hand to the body. Boloev shoots in but no luck this time. Boloev fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Boloev is breathing heavily. Boloev shoots in and drives through. Uru sprawls well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Boloev misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Boloev shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Uru counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Boloev fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Uru avoids it really well and circles away. Ruslan Boloev seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Boloev fails with the takedown and Uru counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Boloev looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Uru is fending him off so far but Boloev persists. Nope, Uru circles away and we're back to standing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Boloev goes for a double leg but Uru avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Uru continues to drive forward. Uru working hard to break the clinch. Uru tries to break free but Boloev pushes him back against the cage. Boloev wants a takedown.

God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Uru looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Boloev is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Uru is defending well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Boloev is trying to drag Uru to the mat but Uru just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. A bit of stalling here from Uru.
Boloev has Uru pressed against the cage, preventing Uru from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Uru prevents a takedown attempt there.
Boloev drops down looking for an ankle pick but Uru pulls his leg out and moves away.
Boloev looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Boloev tries for a takedown but Uru circles away easily and Uru counters with a left to the body. Boloev goes for a double leg but Uru avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Uru continues to drive forward. Uru prevents the takedown attempt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Come on Uru - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Yas Uru showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

That's three minutes gone in the round. Uru breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Boloev changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Uru tries to avoid it but Boloev manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Uru to the ground. Uru escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Boloev shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Uru defends it nicely. Boloev shoots for a takedown but Uru saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Boloev will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
That's four minutes gone in the round. No luck for Boloev with that takedown attempt. Boloev misses with a takedown and Uru makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Boloev fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Horrible takedown attempt by Boloev or perhaps it was just good defense by Uru, which made it look bad. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. And that's the end of the fight! Yas Uru comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Uru has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
