PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mike Mighty (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Minglo SinGo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mighty fails with the takedown.

SinGo shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Mighty is trying to maintain the position but SinGo is very close to passing his half guard.
SinGo looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
SinGo tries to stand and escape but Mighty actually recovers to full guard.
SinGo stands up over Mighty, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

SinGo wants to pass the guard but Mighty is keeping the position.
SinGo sitting in guard, not really doing much.
SinGo trying to control but Mighty is working from the bottom.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Mighty escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. SinGo gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Mighty is looking for a sweep. SinGo is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
SinGo wants to free his trapped foot but Mighty is holding on for dear life with his legs.
SinGo perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
SinGo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mighty. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

SinGo is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Mighty has managed to free his arm - good work.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Mighty has managed to clinch.
SinGo prevents the takedown attempt.

SinGo is trying to break the clinch but Mighty has him pressed against the cage.

Mighty breaks the clinch.
Mighty cracks SinGo with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Mighty misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
SinGo shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Mighty but Mighty pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Mighty is trying to control SinGo's posture but SinGo avoids it.

SinGo swings around for an armbar but Mighty sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into SinGo's guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

SinGo controls Mighty momentarily but Mighty frees himself.

SinGo had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Mighty is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. SinGo Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Mighty's back instead.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Mighty manages to escape to his feet.

and SinGo counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
SinGo scores with a one two! Mighty had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Mighty manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. SinGo manages to get himself to full guard.

Mighty wants to lay and pray for a moment but SinGo keeps working.

Minglo SinGo showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. And we move into the final round!

SinGo stalks Mighty and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Mighty's face. Mighty staggers backwards, shaken.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!

Mighty has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. SinGo is working away from the top position though.
SinGo is pressing down on Mighty's thigh, looking to free his foot. Mighty is holding on for now.

Mighty looks like he's trying to stand up.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
