Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sameer Nair (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and William Murderface (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Murderface has chosen Face Fisted as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Sameer Nair! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, William Murderface! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, William Peck and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Murderface clinches. Nair tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Murderface pulls guard successfully.
Murderface is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Nair is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Nair drops back looking for a leg! Murderface is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Murderface manages to kick Nair off! Nair jumps back into Murderface's guard. Murderface is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Murderface seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Nair does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Murderface wants to free his trapped foot but Nair is holding on for dear life with his legs. Nair tries to roll over but Murderface keeps him under control. Murderface winds up and cracks Nair with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Nair wants to get back to full guard. Murderface looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Nair wants to get back to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nair gets full guard. Murderface stands and throws Nair's legs to the side, diving into side control. Murderface lands a decent elbow from side control. Murderface trying to control the action but Nair is working from the bottom. Nair is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Nair gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Nair is staying active underneath Murderface, who seems content to just control the action from this position. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Murderface stands up out of the half guard. Murderface looks gassed!

Nair wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Murderface goes for a takedown attempt but Nair pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Nair tries to sprawl out of it but Murderface keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Nair manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Sameer Nair has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of William Murderface. Nair is looking to clinch but Murderface is avoiding it.
Murderface keeps the fight on the outside. Nair clinches but Murderface breaks the clinch and Murderface counters with a single leg into guard. Nair didn't expect that. Nair keeping full guard, as Murderface tries to pass. Nair working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Murderface doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Murderface manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Nair tries to land a sweep but no joy.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Nair escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Murderface gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Nair wants to sweep here but Murderface controlling him for the moment. Murderface advances to half guard. Nair is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Murderface's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Murderface's back! You can see the frustration on Murderface's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Nair working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet. Murderface is keeping busy.

Nair throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Murderface shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Nair as he avoids it easily. Nair tries to close the distance and clinch up but Murderface swats him away and circles back towards the center. Murderface circles away from the clinch attempt.
Sameer Nair is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Nair tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Nair closes the distance but Murderface moves to the side and Murderface counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Nair moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Nair has his foot on Murderface's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Murderface works his way back into a safe position though. Nair doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Nair tries to clinch up and Murderface counters with a single leg into guard. Nair didn't expect that. Nair working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Murderface doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Nair is tightening it up a little... Murderface has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Murderface reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Murderface taps out! nice BJJ there by Nair!
