Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bobby Hill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Jorge (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jorge has chosen Back in black as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 25 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bobby Hill!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 29 - 24 - 1, fighting out of London, James Jorge!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Chris Edwards and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jorge closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Hill quickly recovers to half guard.
Jorge wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hill keeps working.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Hill is looking to control Jorge's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Hill avoid being mounted?

Jorge is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Hill has managed to free his arm - good work.
Jorge looks to land a strike but Hill avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jorge working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Hill's head.

Jorge is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Hill enables Jorge to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Hill manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Hill slips a jab and a cross from Jorge.
Hill misses with an uppercut. Jorge saw that one coming.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Hill, as that shot connected.


It looks like James Jorge has been cut.

Jorge tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Hill defends well and Jorge ends up having to push Hill into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Bobby Hill has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of James Jorge.

Jorge gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Hill regains guard.
Hill has his hands on Jorge's head, controlling the position.
Jorge trying to control the position from guard on top but Hill is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Jorge looks for a takedown but Hill sprawls well.
Jorge tries a head kick but it misses.
Jorge shoots in looking for a takedown but Hill manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Jorge's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Jorge misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Bobby Hill has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of James Jorge.
Hill scores with a kick to the midsection.
Hill leaves Jorge with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Jorge looks to land a left hand but Hill moved out of range nicely.
Jorge displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Hill throws out the jab.
Jorge shoots in looking for a takedown. Hill tries to sprawl out of it but Jorge keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hill manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Jorge looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Hill is fending him off so far but Jorge persists. Nope, Hill circles away and we're back to standing.

Jorge closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Hill to the mat! Hill manages to get full guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

That was a close second round but I would say that Bobby Hill will probably get the nod.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Jorge shoots in and drives through. Hill sprawls well.
Hill moves into range and connects with a jab.
Hill swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Jorge keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Jorge fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Hill avoids it really well and circles away.

Hill tests Jorge's chin there with a solid looking shot.

The fighters circling - Hill throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Jorge looks to score with a jab to the body but Hill is just out of range.
Jorge throws a left and a right that both miss
and Hill counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Jorge is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Hill tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Jorge was well out of range. Poor timing from Hill.

Jorge shoots in and bounces Hill off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Jorge thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

James Jorge comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Jorge has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
