Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Psycho Bayliss (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alistair Hendry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Hendry's choice of entrance music: Scotland The Brave. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Alistair Hendry! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bayliss clinches with his opponent.
Bayliss stops a takedown attempt from Hendry.
A short right from Bayliss on the inside. Hendry is looking to take this one to the mat. Bayliss lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Hendry backwards. Bayliss lands a left hand.
Hendry has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Bayliss avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Psycho Bayliss has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alistair Hendry. Bayliss lands a shoulder strike. A short right from Bayliss. Hendry wants a takedown.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Hendry has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Hendry is trying to maintain a safe position but Bayliss gets an underhook and turns Hendry into the cage. Bayliss is working Hendry over against the cage. Bayliss avoiding damage.
Hendry has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Bayliss avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hendry drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Bayliss gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Hendry has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Bayliss is trying to keep an underhook but Hendry manages to get the takedown into half guard. Hendry looks winded! Bayliss works his way to full guard. Good work. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Hendry accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Bayliss looking for a sweep. Not yet Bayliss, not yet. Bayliss on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Bayliss tries to get out of the position. Bayliss looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Hendry avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Bayliss is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hendry with a flurry of punches that miss. Bayliss working a defensive guard here.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Bayliss ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Hendry moves away. Hendry changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Bayliss is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight. Bayliss smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Bayliss lunges at Hendry with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Hendry's hand. Bayliss scoring well with a low kick there.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Bayliss's corner calls for a 1-2. Bayliss obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bayliss throws a nice outside leg kick. Hendry throws a jab but it's blocked by Bayliss. Hendry takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Hendry on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Psycho Bayliss seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Sloppy strikes from Hendry. Those never looked like landing. Hendry takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
An inside leg kick lands from Bayliss. Bayliss swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Bayliss scores with a nice head shot. Bayliss lands with an overhand left. Hendry swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Bayliss counters with an inside leg kick. Hendry uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Bayliss lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bayliss doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Hendry gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Bayliss is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. A punch lands to the side of Hendry 's head but he takes it in his stride. A slapping leg kick lands for Bayliss.
Bayliss dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Hendry. That did some damage! A left lands for Bayliss. A nice leg kick lands there from Bayliss. Bayliss has closed the distance and engaged Hendry in a clinch.
Hendry looking for a takedown. Hendry is working for takedown but Bayliss is calmly controlling the position for now. Bayliss lands a left hand.

Bayliss scores with a shot to the side of Hendry's head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Psycho Bayliss dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Bayliss stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Bayliss lands with a thumping leg kick.
Psycho Bayliss is winning the standup battle so far. Bayliss lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Hendry fails to land with a series of punches.
Hendry shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Bayliss's guard. Hendry throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Bayliss works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Hendry working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bayliss is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Bayliss looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Bayliss is trying to control the position but Hendry postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hendry working some strikes from top position. Hendry trying to control the position from guard on top but Bayliss is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Bayliss is looking to slow Hendry down with leg kicks. Bayliss connects with a body shot that sends Hendry's belly button to the back. Hendry fails with a takedown attempt. Hendry shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Bayliss but Bayliss pushes him off and we're back to square one. Hendry takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bayliss closes the distance and pushes Hendry back into the cage. Bayliss presses Hendry against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Hendry tries to break the clinch but Bayliss is controlling the position. Bayliss scores with a shoulder strike. Bayliss misses with a punch to the body.

Hendry's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down. A body shot lands from Bayliss.
Bayliss makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. This has been an exciting period of action! Bayliss lands a shot to the body. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Bayliss creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Bayliss lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Hendry or not. Bayliss dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. Bayliss pushes Hendry back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. A right hook to the body lands for Bayliss.

Bayliss cracks Hendry with an open hand slap. A nice inside leg kick there by Bayliss. That's going to slow Hendry down. Bayliss keeps Hendry at a distance using the push kick. Hendry looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Bayliss is fending him off so far but Hendry persists. Nope, Bayliss circles away and we're back to standing. Bayliss has taken the fight to the clinch.

Hendry is rocked! Hendry's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Hendry is still on wobbly legs! Can Bayliss finish him? Bayliss scores with a nice hook to the head. Bayliss lands a big right hand that drops Hendry! The killer instinct kicks in and Bayliss finishes his opponent with a series of strikes from mount. A dominating finish by Bayliss!
