Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Eduardo Zapata!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bartek Gor!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gor fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Zapata shoots in and bounces Gor off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Zapata postures up and lands a big shot to Gor's brow.
Zapata is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Gor looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Gor not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Zapata keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Gor's head.
Zapata working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Gor's head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Zapata working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Zapata lands a couple of decent looking shots.


Gor is rocked!
Zapata in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Gor is still in real trouble! Can Zapata finish him?

Gor throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Gor seems to have recovered his senses.
Zapata is in close to Gor's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Zapata with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Zapata is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Zapata stands up over Gor, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Zapata is looking to work some ground and pound but Gor has wrist control.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Zapata accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Zapata lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Zapata postures up and lands a big shot to Gor's brow.
Zapata stands up over Gor, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Zapata is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Zapata is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Zapata gets to his feet and stands over Gor, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Gor felt that one! Zapata unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Gor from any more punishment!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Eduardo Zapata!
