Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Aaron Witt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rajja Khan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Witt comes into the arena with Animal by Disturbed blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
34 - 11 - 2, fighting out of Montreal, Aaron Witt! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
29 - 10 - 2, fighting out of London, Rajja Khan! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Robert Douchet and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A chopping leg kick lands by Khan. Witt uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Khan. A little feinted left hand from Witt on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Witt walks into a straight right hand from Khan. Witt connects with a nice looking jab.
Khan keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Khan is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Witt looks to score with a jab to the body but Khan is just out of range. Khan connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Khan lets loose with a powerful body kick. Witt will feel that in the morning. Khan rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Witt counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Khan takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Witt throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Khan throws a low kick, looking for Witt's leg but Witt calmly moves out of range. Witt rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Khan moves out of range and avoids them all easily. This has been an exciting period of action! Witt tries to move into range but Khan moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Khan dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Witt. That did some damage! Khan walks into a jab. Witt misses with a few strikes there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Khan bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Witt's head. Khan tries to move into range but Witt moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Khan misses with a straight right. Nice uppercut lands for Witt. That snapped Khan's head back.
Witt misses the shot to the body. Khan scores with a crisp jab that stopped Witt in his tracks. Witt fails to land with a series of punches.
Khan has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Witt throws a body punch but Khan moves out of range. Khan scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Khan cracks Witt with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Witt misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Khan.
Witt tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Khan lands a nice looking body kick. Khan looks to land a right hand but Witt moved out of range. Khan misses with a series of wild punches.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Witt uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Khan. Khan shoots and misses and Witt cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Aaron Witt is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Witt checks a leg kick. Witt leaves Khan with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. An attempted straight right counter from Witt misses the target. Khan walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Witt checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Khan on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Witt. Witt obviously looking to wear him down.

Khan tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Witt throws a good cross that connects.
Witt bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Khan's head backwards. Khan throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Nice takedown defense from Witt. No joy for Khan on that attempt. Aaron Witt has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rajja Khan. Witt lands a hook to the side of the head. Witt gets underhooks to prevent Khan's takedown attempt.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Witt's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Khan misses with the head strike.
Witt misses with a punch on the inside.
Witt blocks an uppercut.
Witt stalling in the clinch but Khan improves position. Witt tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. A short right hand to the side of the head by Witt. Witt misses with the head strike.
Khan prevents a body shot from Witt. Witt tries a body shot but Khan blocks it.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Witt. A short right from Khan. Khan jumps guard but Witt turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Khan fails to pull the fight into his guard.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. Witt struggles to land a body shot inside as Khan controls his hands.
Khan manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Khan looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Khan is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Witt defends well. Witt with a flurry of punches that miss. Khan is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Witt trying to control the position from guard on top but Khan is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Khan is on top in guard.
Witt tries to land a sweep but no joy. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Aaron Witt will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Khan connects with a nice looking jab.
Witt ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. A bone on bone clash there as Witt blocks the leg kick.
A looping hook to the body misses from Witt. Khan does a little dance to reset his feet. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Khan. Khan throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Khan takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

and Khan counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Witt trying to control here.
Khan with the ground and pound but Witt uses the opportunity to regain guard. Witt looking for a sweep. Not yet Witt, not yet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Witt keeping moving, preventing Khan from controlling successfully. Khan throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Witt isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Khan stacks Witt on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Khan! Khan sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Witt is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Witt might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Khan tries to move to mount but Witt blocks the move with his legs. Khan tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Khan trying to control the position but Witt is working away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Witt sneaks back into half guard. Witt makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Witt. Witt looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Witt is pulling down on Khan's head to control his posture. Khan wants to pass the guard but Witt is keeping the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Khan passes Witt's left leg - he's now in half guard. Khan lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Witt trying to control but Khan postures up.
Witt is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Khan tries to pass the half guard into mount. Witt knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Witt trying to hold on to Khan's head to control him but Khan postures up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Khan looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Witt looks to throw the jab but Khan is out of range. Witt swinging wildly here.
Khan throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rajja Khan showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Khan throws a jab but it's blocked by Witt. Witt ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Khan moves away. Good shot there by Khan. Witt misses with a hook. Witt tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Khan was well out of range. Poor timing from Witt. Witt misses with a low kick. Witt swings for the body but Khan moves out of range.
Witt throws a lazy right hand but Khan sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Khan with the counter takedown but Witt avoids it easily. Witt swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Khan, as that shot connected.

Witt scores with a punch to the head. Khan misses with a right hand and Witt counters with a lovely straight right hand! Khan works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Witt misses with an uppercut. Khan saw that one coming. Khan scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Witt checks the leg kick. Khan checks a low kick from Witt. Khan ducks under a wild hook from Witt. Khan dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Witt. That did some damage! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Witt waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Khan.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Witt throws the left hand but Khan avoids the punch easily. Witt rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Khan moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Khan uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Witt.
Witt slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Khan misses with a takedown attempt - Witt sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Khan slips under a jab from Witt. Khan defending well as Witt loads up on a big left hand. Witt scores with a jab to the head.
Witt displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Khan throws out the jab. Witt tries to counter by clinching up but Khan breaks away and moves out of range. Witt throws a series of strikes that have Khan backpedaling.

Khan closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Witt to the mat! Witt manages to get full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Khan passes Witt's left leg - he's now in half guard. Witt is not content to let Khan control the position. Khan is trying to work for a kimura but Witt is defending well.
Witt regains full guard. Nicely done. Witt wants to sweep but no luck. Khan wants to pass the guard but Witt is keeping the position. Witt is trying to keep Khan in close.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Witt pulls Khan in close to his closed guard and prevents Khan from doing any damage or advancing position. Witt trying to control the position.
Khan is fighting to break Witt's control of his arms but Witt is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Khan lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but Aaron Witt did the better work so I'd imagine he'll take it. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Witt misses with a low kick. Witt takes one to the chin there. Khan scores with a nice right hand.
Khan lands a glancing blow to the side of Witt's head. Witt scores with a jab. Khan acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Witt throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Khan stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Khan keeps Witt at a distance using the push kick. Khan catches Witt with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Khan avoids the body shot from Witt.
Witt fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Khan looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Khan uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Witt. Witt misses with a double jab.
Khan is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. This has been an exciting period of action! Khan takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Khan chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Witt can pounce on him.
Witt is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
That's one minute gone in the round. Khan slips under a jab from Witt. Khan shoots in for a takedown but Witt shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Khan uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Witt. Witt thuds a left hand into Khan's body. Khan is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range. Khan staying out of range there. Khan scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Khan takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Khan is keen to just control but Witt is a slippery customer. Witt is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Khan thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Witt's head. Witt controlling the position for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Witt trying to hold on to Khan's head to control him but Khan postures up.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Khan looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Witt swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Witt moves out of range of the leg kick from Khan. Witt swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Witt has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Khan. Witt on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Khan. Khan obviously looking to wear him down.
Khan throws a head kick that misses and Witt counters into the clinch. Nicely done. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Khan fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Khan is trying to trip Witt. He has hold of a leg but Witt is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Khan persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Witt lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Khan keeping moving, preventing Witt from controlling successfully. Khan trying to keep a closed guard but Witt is proving a slippery customer.
Witt wants to control from the top but Khan keeps moving. Witt landing some decent shots from guard. Khan is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Witt postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Rajja Khan has got the better of the ground game so far. Witt missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Witt advances to half guard. Witt takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Witt prevents Khan from improving his position. Khan is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Witt pulls his head out easily. Khan looking for submissions off his back. Khan wants to control but Witt is keeping busy and won't allow it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close fourth round but Rajja Khan will probably get the nod - 10:9. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!

Khan throws a lazy body kick and Khan takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. A head kick by Khan misses enabling Witt to counter with a crisp jab. Khan throws a sloppy body shot

Witt looks to land a combination but Khan avoids it well. Khan throws an overhand right that lands on Witt's shoulder, as Witt tries to avoid the shot. Witt lands a lovely overhand right. Khan connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Witt's hands. Witt throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
An inside leg kick lands from Witt. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Khan is looking to score with low kicks.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Khan connects with a crisp jab. Khan connects with a right hand. Witt shakes it off. Khan avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Witt scores with a hook to the body. Khan takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Khan works the jab nicely. Khan smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Khan bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Khan working the ground and pound but Witt is defending the strikes. Witt defending against the ground and pound. Khan wants to take a breather but Witt manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Khan. Khan in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Witt pulls Khan in close to prevent any damage. Witt had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Khan defends it easily. Witt working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Khan has passed into half guard!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Witt is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. Witt is looking to control Khan's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Witt avoid being mounted? Khan tries to pass the half guard into mount. Witt knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Khan wants to lay and pray for a moment but Witt keeps working.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Aaron Witt. I think Witt has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
