Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ronald McDonald (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeff Jacoby (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ronald McDonald! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jeff Jacoby! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Dillan Fox and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jacoby has a takedown stuffed. McDonald is looking to counter the offense by Jacoby and move into the clinch. McDonald stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. McDonald dips to his left and cracks Jacoby with an uppercut! Horrible takedown attempt by Jacoby or perhaps it was just good defense by McDonald, which made it look bad. McDonald wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch. Jacoby fakes a jab and throws a low kick but McDonald checks it well. McDonald is looking to counter the offense by Jacoby and move into the clinch. Jacoby shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has McDonald pinned against the cage. McDonald gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Ronald McDonald has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jeff Jacoby. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A nice leg kick lands there from McDonald. McDonald slaps away a takedown attempt from Jacoby, before circling back to the center of the mat. A chopping leg kick lands by McDonald.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jacoby gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and McDonald counters by clinching up. Jacoby fails to pull the fight into his guard.
McDonald connects with a knee to the head.
It looks like Jeff Jacoby has been cut. McDonald with a knee to the head.
Jacoby jumps guard but McDonald stands there with Jacoby around his waist. Jacoby gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Jacoby looks winded! McDonald throws a knee to the head but misses.
McDonald drops Jacoby with a big knee straight up the middle! Jacoby is covering up against the cage but manages to escape and gets back to his feet!
Jacoby is rocked! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Jacoby gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and McDonald counters by clinching up. Jacoby is still on wobbly legs! Can McDonald finish him? McDonald is looking to land a big knee to finish this one. He's got control of the head and as Jacoby tries to break McDonald's hands from around his neck, McDonald unloads with that fight ending knee, right up the middle! Oh man, that was nasty! Jacoby will need to get back to the training room and learn how to defend against the thai clinch! Oooh, his nose is a mess. Hopefully it's not broken.
