Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dalton Whitaker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jax Teller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jax Teller has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dalton Whitaker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jax Teller!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Lou da Vinci and Franklyn Lucas.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Teller closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Whitaker's guard.
Teller works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Whitaker controlling the position for now.
Teller keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
It looks like Teller might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Whitaker has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Teller is working away from the top position though.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Teller lands a nice short elbow.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Teller performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Teller tries to stand and escape but Whitaker is controlling the position.

Whitaker actively working from the bottom here.
Teller is taking a breather. Whitaker says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Teller is thwarting Whitaker's attempts to control the position.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Teller throws a body kick despite being completely out of range

and Whitaker counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Whitaker.

Whitaker pulls Teller into guard.
Whitaker looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Teller is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Teller tries to stand but Whitaker is controlling from the bottom.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Whitaker is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Teller is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Teller is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Whitaker wants to stand but Teller is controlling the position.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Teller avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Whitaker tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Teller manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Teller clinches with his opponent.
Whitaker tries to pull guard but Teller holds him up against the cage and eventually Whitaker drops back down to his feet.

Teller ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Teller no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Teller bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Whitaker's guard.


Whitaker is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Whitaker not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Teller trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Teller keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Whitaker's head.
Teller scoring with punches to the head and body.
Teller wants to stand but Whitaker has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jax Teller dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Teller closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Teller lands in his opponent's guard.
Whitaker has a closed guard, preventing Teller from standing up.
Teller wants to pass the guard but Whitaker is keeping the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Teller not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Whitaker trying to keep a closed guard but Teller is proving a slippery customer.
Teller is looking to stand up but Whitaker won't let him.
Teller won't allow Whitaker to get back to his feet.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Teller moves into the clinch successfully.

Teller gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Teller wants to stand up but Whitaker is controlling the position.
Teller slows the pace down in half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Teller is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Whitaker!
Teller fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Oooh a big shot lands for Teller! Whitaker is out! The ref dives in to save him from more punishment!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Jax Teller!
