The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Halo throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Halo throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Blanka feints the counter takedown.
Blanka takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Blanka misses the jab.
Blanka is looking to chop away at Halo's legs.
Halo on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Blanka avoids the head kick by Halo.
The fighters circling - Halo throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Blanka wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Blanka dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Halo throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Blanka wants to land a leg kick but Halo is out of range.
Halo lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Nice uppercut lands for Blanka. That snapped Halo's head back.

Blanka bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Blanka changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.

Blanka ducks under a wild hook from Halo.
Blanka throws a leg kick which misses Halo's front leg but catches the back leg as Halo tries to avoid it.
Halo cracks Blanka with an open hand slap.
Halo clobbers Blanka with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Halo turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Halo is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Blanka throws a push kick but Halo slaps the foot to one side.

Halo lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Halo scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Halo lands with a shot to the body.
Blanka looks winded!

Halo is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Blanka sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Halo lands a left and a right that send Blanka crashing to the mat, dazed. Halo thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Halo cracks Blanka with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Blanka looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Halo finish him?
