Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Stu Mercer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Spurt Reynolds (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mercer comes to the cage accompanied by Dirty deeds done dirt cheap AC/DC. Spurt Reynolds will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mercer moves into range and clinches up with Reynolds.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Mercer.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Reynolds has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Reynolds escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Reynolds throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Mercer's waist but Mercer gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Reynolds off to one side.
Reynolds scores with a shot to the side of Mercer's head.
It looks like Stu Mercer has been cut.
Mercer lands a left hand.
Mercer gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Mercer thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Mercer is trying to control the action in half guard but Reynolds is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Mercer lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Mercer postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Reynolds looks a forlorn figure.
