Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jeff Speakman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Thomas Stewart!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stewart will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Speakman swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Stewart counters with a nice leg kick.
Speakman avoids a punch combination nicely.
Speakman will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
We've been hearing reports that Speakman has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Stewart does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Nice uppercut there from Speakman.


It looks like Thomas Stewart has been cut.
Speakman fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Stewart keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Stewart lands with a nice combination. Speakman backs away looking to recover.
Stewart fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Speakman checks it well.
Stewart throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Speakman throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Speakman throws a series of punches but Stewart avoids them all with ease.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Good leg kick by Stewart there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Stewart looks for the body kick but Speakman saw that one coming.
The crowd cheers as Stewart lands an impressive looking overhand right. Speakman doesn't seem phased though.
Stewart throws a right and a left that Speakman avoids nicely.
Stewart misses with a looping right.
Speakman rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Stewart moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Speakman fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Stewart checks it well.
Stewart takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Speakman moves out of range of the body kick from Stewart.
Speakman jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Speakman avoids a kick to the body.
Stewart tries to score with a low kick but Speakman moves his leg out of the way.
Stewart looks to land a combination but Speakman avoids it well.
Speakman takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

That kick from Stewart tenderised Speakman's leg. Speakman is trying to keep his angry face on.
Stewart lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Speakman circles away quickly and effectively.
Speakman misses with a series of wild punches.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Speakman fails to land with a series of punches.

Stewart explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Thomas Stewart is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Stewart tries to bum rush Speakman with a series of wild strikes but Speakman uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Speakman.
We've been informed that Stewart has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jeff Speakman. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Oooooh!!! Speakman has knocked Stewart down with a huge combo! Speakman steps away and waves a wobbly Stewart back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!


Stewart is rocked!
Stewart drops his hands for a split second and Speakman immediately capitalizes on the opportunity by smashing a powerful hook into Stewart face, sending his mouthguard sailing through the air, much to the delight of the crowd. Speakman follows up with a right hand that knocks Stewart into next week. He's out cold and this fight is over!
