Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Shaun Medina (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Demarcus Evans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Demarcus Evans!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Alan Glass and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good leg kick by Evans there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Medina avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Evans cracks the inside of Medina's front leg.
Medina shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Evans pinned against the cage. Evans gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Evans tries to clinch up
and Medina counters by moving into the clinch.
Evans fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Evans stalling in the clinch but Medina improves position.
Evans misses with some punches.
Evans misses with the head strike.
Medina throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Evans blocks it with crossed arms.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Medina avoids the elbow strike from Evans, against the cage.
Medina tries a knee to the head but Evans blocks it.
Evans tries to stall but Medina uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Medina manages to pull guard.
Evans trying to control the position from guard on top but Medina is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Medina bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Evans's guard.

Medina might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Evans avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Medina is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Medina postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Medina is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Evans feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Medina's calf.
Evans fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Medina.
Evans fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Demarcus Evans seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Evans bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Evans tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Medina circles away from the clinch attempt
and Medina counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Medina.
Evans tries a knee to the head but Medina blocks it.
Medina lands a hook that snaps the head of Evans backwards.
Evans misses with a short punch on the inside.
Evans doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Evans swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Medina blocks the elbow strike.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Medina blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Medina pulls guard.
Evans throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Evans trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Evans throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Medina works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Medina lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
Evans looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Medina seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Evans is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Demarcus Evans will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Evans just misses with a punch to the body.
Evans tries to clinch but Medina moves out of range.
Medina drops his hands momentarily and Evans needs no second invitation. He sets himself and throws a perfect high kick, that clips Medina just on the top of the head. Medina drops like a sack of potatoes to the canvas, out cold! Oooooooh yeah! Stick a fork in Medina - he's done!
