Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kenichi Mighty (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anatoly Petkrovic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Kenichi Mighty!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Anatoly Petkrovic!
The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Dirk Anderson and Bart Greer.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mighty works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
We've been told by Mighty's head coaches at Cozad The Island that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Mighty tries a head kick but it misses.

Mighty takes the fight into the clinch.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.

Mighty breaks the clinch.
Mighty throws a sloppy head kick and Petkrovic moves out of range easily.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Mighty enables Petkrovic to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Mighty manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

It looks like Petkrovic might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Mighty wants to stand and escape but Petkrovic is having none of it.

Petkrovic looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Petkrovic wants to finish this one by submission but Mighty is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Petkrovic.

Petkrovic is working for a guillotine from mount but Mighty frees his head quite easily.

Petkrovic is continuing to stall.
Petkrovic fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Petkrovic takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Let's hope that Petkrovic has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Mighty knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Petkrovic on the ground.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Petkrovic's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Mighty is breathing heavily.
Petkrovic lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Anatoly Petkrovic dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Petkrovic swings for the body but Mighty moves out of range.
Petkrovic takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Petkrovic is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Mighty's half guard.

Petkrovic wants to pass the guard but Mighty is defending well.
Petkrovic has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Petkrovic is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Petkrovic frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Petkrovic looking to finish Mighty with some ground and pound. This is bad for Mighty!
We've been informed that Petkrovic has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Petkrovic postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Mighty looks a forlorn figure.

The referee warns Mighty that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Petkrovic cracks Mighty with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Anatoly Petkrovic!
An out of breath Anatoly Petkrovic thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
