Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rcrs Sarabjit!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Split Rush!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Gregory Folan and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sarabjit leaves Rush with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
No luck for Rush with that takedown attempt.
Sarabjit seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Sarabjit could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Sarabjit misses with a combination

and Rush counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Rush.

Sarabjit is trying to force a seperation but Rush has the dominant position.
Sarabjit stops a takedown attempt from Rush.
Rcrs Sarabjit has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Split Rush.
Rush tries for a takedown. No joy.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Sarabjit wants the takedown. Rush is fighting it off but Sarabjit persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Rush's guard against the cage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Rush is on top in guard.

Rush with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

Sarabjit has his foot on Rush's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Rush works his way back into a safe position though.
Rush cracks Sarabjit with a solid left hand.
Sarabjit has momentary wrist control but Rush slips an elbow through the middle.
Rush has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Rush loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Rush sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Sarabjit's guard.

Sarabjit is not content to let Rush control the position.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Rush lands a nice short elbow.
Rush has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

It looks like Rcrs Sarabjit has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Oooooh, big shot lands for Rush! Sarabjit is hurt baaadly! Rush is firing away with more strikes - Sarabjit is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Split Rush!
During a confident post fight interview, Split Rush thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
