The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ekart avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Watis is looking to clinch.
Watis tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Ekart paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Ekart seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Watis darts in trying to clinch

and Ekart counters with a nice double leg into side control. Watis won't be happy with that.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Watis is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Watis gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!

It looks like Tedy Watis has been cut.
Watis really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ekart. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Ekart connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

Ekart lands a big shot to the head and Watis winces in pain. He's tapped out due to strikes!
