Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Damarcus Musasi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Glen Marshal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Ren Mimura and Taro Takaoka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marshal misses with a body kick.
Marshal throws a hook to the side of Musasi's head but Musasi sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Marshal misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Marshal throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Marshal tries to clinch there but Musasi circles away.
Marshal throws a right and a left that Musasi avoids nicely.

Musasi fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Marshal , pushing him back against the cage.

Musasi pulls guard successfully.
Musasi has a closed guard, preventing Marshal from standing up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Musasi has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Marshal can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Musasi looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

Musasi is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Marshal has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Musasi could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Musasi throws some wild stikes that Marshal manages to avoid easily.

Marshal has given up his back here. Will Musasi look for the submission or keep pounding away?

Marshal is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Musasi is looking for the choke from the back position but Marshal is controlling his hands well.
Marshal really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Musasi. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Musasi is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Marshal is defending well though. Musasi let's go of the attempt for now.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

It looks like Glen Marshal has been cut.
Marshal looks to throw an elbow but misses.

Musasi is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Marshal can't fight it off and eventually Musasi manages to take the fight to the floor. Marshal looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Musasi wants to control from the top but Marshal keeps moving.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Musasi gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Musasi is working for takedown but Marshal is calmly controlling the position for now.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Marshal throws an elbow but it misses.

Musasi has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Marshal off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Musasi has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Marshal clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Musasi is working the back position looking for the choke. Oh, he's slid into an armbar! Beautiful transition and Marshal taps out! Fantastic Jiu Jitsu from Musasi.
