Kerrigan comes into a darkened arena with his song building. BUSH- MACHINE HEAD kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Alvan Kerrigan has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Dan Wade's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Alvan Kerrigan!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kerrigan looks for a takedown but Wade sprawls well.
Kerrigan looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Kerrigan shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Wade tries to hold on but Kerrigan postures up.
Kerrigan misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

Kerrigan throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Wade because Kerrigan loaded up on that one.
Wade regains half guard.

Wade lands a big uppercut and Kerrigan crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Kerrigan looks OK. Wade waves Kerrigan back to his feet!
Wade drops Kerrigan with a big left hand and mounts him. Kerrigan is in big trouble!
Wade takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Kerrigan throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Wade decides to return to a standing position.
A telegraphed right hand from Kerrigan misses the target.

Wade lands with a straight right. Kerrigan didn't see that one coming.

Kerrigan looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Wade!
Kerrigan looking to ground and pound but Wade is blocking nicely.
Poor strikes thrown by Kerrigan there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Wade tries to hold on but Kerrigan postures up.

Kerrigan is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Wade has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Wade!

Kerrigan moves out of range as Wade strikes.
Kerrigan throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Wade counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Wade cracks Kerrigan with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kerrigan takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Kerrigan is breathing heavily.

Wade looks to land a right hand but Kerrigan moved out of range.
Wade bobbing and weaving well here. And he's unloaded with a massive right hand that drops Kerrigan! He dives into his guard looking to finish!
Kerrigan has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Wade stands up and waves to Kerrigan to follow him.
Wade cracks Kerrigan with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Kerrigan looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Wade finish him?

This has been an exciting period of action!
Wade misses with a double jab

and Kerrigan counters with a single leg into guard. Wade didn't expect that.
Wade wants to get back to his feet but Kerrigan is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Kerrigan throws and elbow that misses. Wade uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Kerrigan's guard. Nice move by Wade!

Kerrigan throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Wade escapes and throws Kerrigan's legs to the side, diving into side control!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Wade has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
The crowd cheers as Wade lands an impressive looking overhand right. Kerrigan doesn't seem phased though.
A telegraphed right hand from Wade misses the target.
Kerrigan doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Wade cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.


It looks like Alvan Kerrigan has been cut.

Some wild striking there from Wade.
Wade drops Kerrigan with a left right combo! Wade follows him down to the ground into side control.


Kerrigan is rocked!
Wade is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Kerrigan can do to turn this around?
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Wade stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Wade throws a series of punches but Kerrigan avoids them all with ease.

Wade throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Wade cracks Kerrigan with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Kerrigan ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Wade throws a hook but Kerrigan blocks it.

That's six minutes gone in the round.
Kerrigan doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Wade bobbing and weaving well here. And he's unloaded with a massive right hand that drops Kerrigan! He dives into his guard looking to finish!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Kerrigan is trying to control the position but Wade postures up.
Kerrigan can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Wade controls the pace.

Wade stands up and waves to Kerrigan to follow him.
Wade scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.

Wade tries to clinch but Kerrigan is having none of it.
Kerrigan misses with a takedown attempt
enabling Wade to counter with a crisp jab.

Wade rushes Kerrigan with punches - Kerrigan moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Kerrigan goes down! Wade follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 9:11 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dan Wade!
