The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Stewart Dunkirk and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vega forces Martinez back against the cage and clinches.
Martinez prevents Vega from breaking the clinch.
Vega wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Vega using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Martinez has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Martinez tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Vega just stands there and leans against the cage.

A nice right hand lands inside from Vega.
Martinez tries to break the clinch but Vega is controlling the position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Vega throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

and Vega counters with a good, hard body kick but Martinez shrugs it off.
Vega tries to clinch but Martinez is having none of it.
Vega lands a head kick. Martinez smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

Vega thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Martinez if he has to take too many more of those.

and Vega counters with a head kick. That will keep Martinez thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Mike Vega seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Horrible takedown by Martinez or perhaps it was just good defense by Vega which made him look bad.
Martinez darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Well, if Martinez is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Martinez is rocked!
It's a brutal combination of punches from Vega! Martinez is backing up but he can't get away as Vega lands with one final shot to the jaw that drops Martinez and ends the fight. Great knockout.
