Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between The Sandman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Samir Oliva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Samir Oliva has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, The Sandman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
21 - 15 - 0, fighting out of New York, Samir Oliva! The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Reed Andrews and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sandman misses with a looping right. Oliva slips under a jab. Oliva goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Sandman shoots in looking for a takedown but Oliva manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Sandman's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Sandman takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Oliva moves out of range of the strikes. Sandman pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Oliva throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Oliva stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Oliva wants it to stay on the feet. A solid leg kick lands there for Oliva.
Sandman looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for The Sandman. That's going to take a lot out of him. Oliva keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Oliva buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Oliva lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Sandman shoots for a takedown but Oliva saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Sandman throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Oliva. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Sandman checks the leg kick nicely there.

Sandman scores with a takedown into Oliva's guard. Sandman drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Oliva manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Sandman has Oliva in his guard.
Sandman has his foot on Oliva's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Oliva works his way back into a safe position though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Oliva wants to stand but Sandman has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Sandman working for a triangle but Oliva defends it easily.

Sandman is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Sandman throws his legs up looking for a submission but Oliva uses it to pass to side control.
Sandman tries to get back to half guard but can't.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Oliva tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Sandman is looking to regain half guard here but Oliva keeps moving and retains side control. Oliva gets to mount! Sandman was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly. Sandman is wriggling around trying to escape.
Sandman regains half guard. Oliva really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sandman. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Sandman regains full guard. Nicely done. Sandman working for a triangle but Oliva defends it easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Oliva wants to get up but he can't break Sandman's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Oliva avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sandman makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Sandman. Sandman has his feet on Oliva's thighs here. He's pushed Oliva off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Oliva screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
