Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Naitsyrk Akpreic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Josef Major (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Naitsyrk Akpreic! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Josef Major ! The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Felipe Paraventi and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Akpreic fails with the takedown and Major counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Akpreic misses with a takedown and Major counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Major slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Major is pushing down on Akpreic's leg trying to pass to half guard. Akpreic is fighting to maintain full guard but Major has managed to sneak the leg through. Major wants to pass the guard but Akpreic is defending well. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Akpreic trying to control but Major postures up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Akpreic makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Akpreic. Major is looking to stand up but Akpreic won't let him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Akpreic wants to sweep here but Major controlling him for the moment. Akpreic has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Major has passed into side control.
Major advances to mount. Major with a couple of short strikes. Major sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Akpreic is looking to improve his position but Major isn't that keen on the idea. Akpreic gets back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Major passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Akpreic! Major controlling the position easily from mount. Major pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Akpreic is desperately trying to improve his position but Major has a good base and remains in mount. Akpreic wants to hold on but Major pushes him away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Major looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Major working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Akpreic is trying desperately to improve position. Akpreic is working hard here to advance position. Major working away from the top, dropping strikes. Major controlling from mount. Major lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Major takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Akpreic is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Major prevents Akpreic from getting the reversal. Major can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Akpreic is looking to escape. Akpreic is wriggling around trying to escape.
Major trying to control but Akpreic is having none of it. Major manages to capitalize on a mistake by Akpreic to take his back! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Major controlling the position well here. Akpreic rolled but Major kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.

Akpreic misses with a takedown and Major moves into the clinch. Major decides to pull guard. Major is controlling Akpreic's posture. Major is continuing to stall. Akpreic passes easily into side control. Nice work. Major is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Major is concentrating on defense, preventing Akpreic from advancing position. Major flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

Akpreic is trying to control. Major wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Major has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Akpreic is working away from the top position though. Major is not content to let Akpreic control the position. Major is trying to stand.
Akpreic looks to land a strike but Major avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Major working for a triangle but Akpreic defends it easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Akpreic trying to control the position from guard on top but Major is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Major looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Akpreic stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Major swivels though and keeps the full guard. The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Akpreic gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Major counters with a big head kick but Akpreic shrugs it off. Major moves into the clinch. Akpreic is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Naitsyrk Akpreic. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Major lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Major is stalling in the full guard. Major wants to control from the top but Akpreic keeps moving. Akpreic looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Major has picked Akpreic up and slammed him! Akpreic can't keep hold of the triangle and Major manages to pass to side control! Major wants to stand but Akpreic has his arm trapped. Major working away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Akpreic is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control. Akpreic is looking to regain half guard here but Major keeps moving and retains side control. Major working the ground and pound. Akpreic is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Akpreic is not content to let Major control the position. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Akpreic tries to improve position but can't. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Josef Major showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Major has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Akpreic has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Akpreic defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined. Akpreic rolls, trying to escape but Major keeps control of the position.
Naitsyrk Akpreic has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Major connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for Akpreic to escape the position.

And that's the end of the fight! Josef Major comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Major has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
