Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Juan Velasquez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sawyer Hume (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Velasquez comes to the cage accompanied by Accept's Balls To The Wall. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hume just misses with a punch to the body.
Hume throws a big shot that misses.
Velasquez misses with an uppercut.
Hume thinks about the counter body kick.
Hume tries to land a front kick but Velasquez steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Hume throws a right and a left that both miss.
Juan Velasquez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hume avoids the head kick by Velasquez.
Velasquez throws a looping overhand right but Hume ducks down to avoid it.
Velasquez bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Hume's head.
It looks like Sawyer Hume has been cut.

Velasquez swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Hume lands a left and a right that send Velasquez crashing to the mat, dazed. Hume thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Velasquez scores with a hook to the body. Hume takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Velasquez avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Velasquez lunges at Hume with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Hume's hand.

Hume throws a solid leg kick but Velasquez takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Hume.

and Velasquez counters with a stiff right hand.

Velasquez blocks the body kick.
Velasquez blocks a head kick by Hume.
Velasquez throws a sloppy body shot
and Hume counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Velasquez throws a series of punches but Hume moves out of range.

A nice leg kick lands there from Hume.
Velasquez on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Hume. Hume obviously looking to wear him down.
Hume looks for the body kick but Velasquez saw that one coming.
Velasquez tries to work over Hume's front leg with a kick but Hume checks it.

Velasquez throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Hume sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Hume walks forward, straight into a front kick from Velasquez.
Velasquez thuds his shin into the meat of Hume's side.
Hume jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Velasquez uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Hume.
Velasquez misses with a hook.
And Hume responds with a good body kick, but Velasquez manages to step out the way in time.
Velasquez lands a right hook to the body.
A punch lands to the side of Hume 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Hume connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Hume misses with the body kick
and Velasquez counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Velasquez cracks Hume with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Velasquez has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Hume to stand back up!
Hume is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Hume is still on wobbly legs! Can Velasquez finish him?
Velasquez lands a big right hand that sends Hume crashing to the mat! Velasquez stays standing though and waves Hume back to his feet!
Velasquez looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Velasquez lands an uppercut, right on the button! Hume tumbles backwards into the cage, staring vacantly into space! He's got no idea where he is, who he is or what day it is... Poor guy.

Juan Velasquez decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
