Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kendrick George!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jack Jackson!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

George pushes Jackson up against the cage in a clinch.
Jackson looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

George jumps into guard, dragging Jackson to the mat.
Jackson stopping the sweep attempt from George.
Jackson trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
George is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

George is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Jackson throws a big right hand that misses.
George managing to control the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
George has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

George lands a couple of shots from the bottom.

The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Jackson is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Jackson shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in George's guard.

Jackson wants to stand but George has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
George will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

George keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Jackson's head.
George controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

George decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
George not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

It looks like Kendrick George has been cut.
George shoots for a double leg takedown but Jackson sprawls well. He's pushed George's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

George instigates a clinch.
George tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Jackson's elbow.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

George escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
George is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
George throws a wild body kick that Jackson sees coming a mile off.

Jackson gets caught napping as George dives in and scores a takedown. Jackson manages to retain guard.

George wanted to stand there but Jackson had control of the position.

Jackson is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
George is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Jackson can do to turn this around?

George gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

George closes the distance and pushes Jackson back into the cage.
George changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Jackson fights it off and pushes away nicely.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kendrick George. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Jackson drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
George pulls Jackson in to control the position.
Jackson postures up in George's guard and throws a big left but George blocks it.

Jackson loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

George wants to sweep but no luck.

George really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

George fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Jackson to the ground. George is now in Jackson's guard.

George decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Jackson, up you get!
George shoots and misses
and George takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Jackson misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

George shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Jackson manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
George is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
George won't allow Jackson to sweep him here.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
George engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Kendrick George will probably get the nod.

George closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - George lands in his opponent's guard.

George stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.

George drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
George content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.

George decides to stand back up. George steps back and let's Jackson get back to his feet.

George darts in and clinches Jackson up against the cage.

George tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
George's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Jackson gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, George regains guard.
George pulls Jackson in close to prevent any damage.

Jackson trying to control but George is working from the bottom.
George wants to sweep here but Jackson controlling him for the moment.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Kendrick George overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
George's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
George will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Jackson gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Kendrick George is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Kendrick George showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for George, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
