Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tyrell Bowers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and JC Seraphim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tyrell Bowers! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, JC Seraphim! The judges for this bout are Ben Hemmingworth, Bruno Hogan and Chris Dean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Seraphim throws a body kick that misses. A big right from Seraphim misses. A head kick misses from Seraphim. Seraphim throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Seraphim misses with a lunging right hand
and Bowers counters with a three punch combo that has Seraphim backing up. Seraphim nods at Bowers to acknowledge the strikes. Seraphim tries to clinch up. Seraphim swings widly with a right hand
and Bowers decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Seraphim's guard. Bowers preventing the sweep. Bowers got a little sloppy there for a moment and Seraphim has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Bowers has managed to get both his arms back between Seraphim's legs - danger averted. Seraphim wants to control the position but Bowers says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard. It looks like Bowers is going to stand back up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Seraphim looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Seraphim is trying to get back to full guard. Bowers decides to return to a standing position. Seraphim tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Seraphim misses with a hook
and Bowers counters with a thumping low kick. Bowers misses with a takedown attempt - Seraphim sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Seraphim takes a swing at Bowers's ribcage but misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A shot to the body from Seraphim misses and Bowers counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Seraphim misses with a kick to the body.
Seraphim throws a body punch but Bowers moves out of range. Seraphim tries to clinch but Bowers moves out of range. Bowers fails in his attempt to clinch. Seraphim throws a head kick but Bowers moves out of range.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Seraphim. Bowers shrugs it off though. Seraphim ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bowers dives in and grabs Seraphim's left leg, looking for a takedown. Seraphim pushes down on Bowers's head and hops out. Seraphim throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Bowers counters with a right hand to the body. Seraphim is looking to slow Bowers down with leg kicks. Seraphim swings and misses with a shot to the body and Bowers counters with a one-two to the body. Bowers doesn't succeed with the takedown and Seraphim counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Seraphim. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tyrell Bowers. That's going to take a lot out of him. Seraphim lands a takedown into guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Bowers is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Seraphim is stalling in the full guard. Seraphim would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. We've been informed that Seraphim has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Bowers being controlled here, momentarily. Seraphim wants to control from the top but Bowers keeps moving.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but JC Seraphim will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Bowers swings for the body but Seraphim moves out of range.
Seraphim clinches up with Bowers and pushes him back against the cage. Bowers throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Seraphim blocks it with crossed arms. Bowers really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Bowers lands a right hand. Bowers wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Bowers is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Seraphim to keep the fight standing. Seraphim has clasped his hands together around Bowers's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bowers is not content to let Seraphim control the position. Seraphim taking a breather here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Seraphim is trying to get an arm triangle but Bowers is defending well. Seraphim wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bowers keeps working. Bowers is positioning himself to get back to half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Seraphim tries for a kimura but Bowers is defending well. Bowers is trying to get back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Seraphim is looking to take a break and control but Bowers is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Seraphim working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Seraphim moves into full mount!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bowers tries to reverse the position but Seraphim maintains control. Bowers sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Still in half guard, Seraphim seems content to control. Seraphim seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Bowers does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Bowers wants to control but Seraphim is keeping busy.
Seraphim is trying to control. Bowers wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Seraphim wants to stand up but Bowers is controlling the position.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Seraphim forces Bowers back against the cage and clinches. Seraphim with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Seraphim lands on the inside with an uppercut. Seraphim is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. A short right from Seraphim. Bowers lands a body shot in the clinch.
Seraphim manages to break the clinch.
Seraphim scores with a takedown into Bowers's guard. Seraphim is breathing heavily. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Seraphim wants to control from the top but Bowers keeps moving. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
JC Seraphim showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

and Bowers counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Seraphim pushes Bowers off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. This has been an exciting period of action! Bowers tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Seraphim paws at him with a jab and circles away. Seraphim closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Bowers's guard. Bowers looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Seraphim sitting in guard, not really doing much. Bowers is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Seraphim takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Seraphim wants to stand back up but Bowers manages to pass into side control.
Seraphim sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Seraphim looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Seraphim is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Seraphim wants to get back to his feet. Seraphim trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Bowers manages to pass to mount!

Bowers controlling from mount. Seraphim throwing hammer fists to the chest of Bowers. What's that going to do exactly?
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Seraphim is in all sorts of trouble here.
Seraphim regains half guard. Seraphim wants to control but Bowers is keeping busy and won't allow it. Seraphim has a hand on Bowers's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Bowers takes advantage of the position though and mounts him! Seraphim bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! JC Seraphim is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Bowers is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Tyrell Bowers. Well Seraphim has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... JC Seraphim! After the fight, JC Seraphim was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
