Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Floyd Mullins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Greg Elliot!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Joseph Jones and John Roberts.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Elliot stuffs the takedown attempt from Mullins. Mullins gets slowly back to his feet.

Mullins jumps guard but Elliot stands there with Mullins around his waist. Mullins gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Elliot pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Elliot rushes Mullins and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Elliot closes the distance but Mullins moves to the side
and Mullins counters with a nice kick to the body.
Mullins tries a head kick but it misses.
Elliot tries to clinch but Mullins moves away
and Mullins counters with a one-two to the body.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Mullins counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Elliot is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Mullins is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Mullins really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Elliot gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Mullins to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Our spies down at at Cozad MMA New York inform us that Elliot has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?
Mullins will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Elliot takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Elliot thows a huge punch but Mullins dodges it nicely.

Mullins regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Elliot.

Mullins pushes Elliot off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Mullins is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Elliot knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Elliot is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Mullins asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Elliot takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

Mullins happy to just control the position for now.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Mullins throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

Elliot has closed the distance and engaged Mullins in a clinch.

Mullins breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Elliot tries to close the distance and clinch up but Mullins swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Mullins dives in and grabs Elliot's left leg, looking for a takedown. Elliot pushes down on Mullins's head and hops out.

Mullins gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Elliot throwing strikes but missing.
Elliot would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
