Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Randal Burt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and MummyD Mandirigma (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mandirigma comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Remember The Name kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! MummyD Mandirigma has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mandirigma fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Burt to the ground. Mandirigma is now in Burt's guard.
Burt will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Burt is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Mandirigma showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Mandirigma must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Burt shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Mandirigma as he avoids it easily.
Burt moves out of range of the strikes.
Burt throws a looping overhand right but Mandirigma ducks down to avoid it.

Burt fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Mandirigma throws a right hand that Burt ducks under and follows up with a left that Burt also avoids with ease.
Burt looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Mandirigma is fending him off so far but Burt persists. Nope, Mandirigma circles away and we're back to standing.
Mandirigma gets caught flat footed, as Burt shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Burt's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Randal Burt overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Burt drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Burt jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Burt stands up over Mandirigma, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Burt is working Mandirigma over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Burt drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Burt seems to have locked his on tight now - Mandirigma screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Burt, as he picks up the win!
