Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Austin Gross (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Brighton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Austin Gross!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brighton clinches up with Gross and pushes him back against the cage.
Brighton jumps guard but Gross turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Brighton is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Gross is defending well.
Gross has Brighton pressed against the cage, preventing Brighton from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Gross fails to pull guard.
Gross really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Brighton jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Gross walks away with a smile on his face. Brighton gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Gross uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Brighton.
Brighton throws a sloppy head kick and Gross moves out of range easily.

Brighton gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Gross shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Brighton defends it nicely.

Gross feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Gross, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
