Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gideon Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Edson Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Robert Douchet and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Santos defends well and Jones ends up having to push Santos into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Santos swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
A punch combination from Santos misses.
A combination from Santos does no damage.
Santos throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Santos takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Santos throws a right hand that Jones ducks under and follows up with a left that Jones also avoids with ease.
Jones throws a hook but Santos avoids it easily.
As Jones backs off Santos throws a huge counter combo but Jones manages to avoid it all.
Santos drops Jones with a beautiful combination! Jones stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Santos is looking for the KO!
It looks like Gideon Jones has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Jones fails with a takedown attempt.
Jones showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Santos.
Jones shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Santos as he avoids it easily.

Jones moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

Jones shoots in but no luck this time.
Santos dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Santos throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Santos stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Santos wants it to stay on the feet.

Santos swats away the attempt to clinch by Jones.
Jones tries to clinch but Santos moves out of range.
Santos scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Jones shoots for a takedown but Santos saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Jones is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Jones drags the fight down to the ground.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Santos wants to stand but Jones is controlling his posture from full guard.
Santos avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Jones working for a triangle but Santos defends it easily.
Jones has a closed guard, preventing Santos from standing up.
Jones wants to sweep but no luck.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Santos is posturing up here but Jones has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Santos tries to roll out but it's too tight and Santos has to tap! Slick submission there by Jones!

Our winner, Gideon Jones, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
