Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joan Wells (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Konish (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Joan Wells! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, John Konish! The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Chris Edwards and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wells keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Konish moves to clinch but Wells breaks away and Wells counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Konish escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Konish shoots in for a takedown but Wells shows good takedown defense. Wells shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Konish defends it nicely. Konish tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Wells defends well and Konish ends up having to push Wells into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Joan Wells has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Konish. Wells tries to score a body lock takedown but Konish shows good agility there to stay on his feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Konish has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Wells uses from the top position. Konish looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Konish displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Wells throws out the jab. Konish misses with a few strikes there.

He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Wells wants it to stay on the feet. Wells looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! That's three minutes gone in the round. Wells looks to land a strike but Konish avoids it nicely and regains full guard. Wells working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Wells throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Konish works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Konish wants to stand up but Wells is controlling him. Konish is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Wells striking from half guard on the bottom. Wells has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Konish is on him like a limpet, forcing Wells back against the cage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wells is trying to pull guard but Konish turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Konish breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Konish fails to land with a series of punches.

Joan Wells is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Wells in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
And that's the end of the fight! Joan Wells showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Wells, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
