Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy Johns (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Oliver Kloesov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jimmy Johns!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Oliver Kloesov!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Albert Achterberg and Daniel Blasius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johns lands a nice looking kick to the body. Kloesov takes a step back to recover.

Johns closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Kloesov did well to prevent Johns getting side control.

Kloesov looking for submissions off his back.
Johns wants to pass to mount but Kloesov is defending the position.
Johns prevents Kloesov from improving his position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Johns passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Kloesov!

Kloesov got a little sloppy there for a moment and Johns has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kloesov has managed to get both his arms back between Johns's legs - danger averted.

Kloesov got a little sloppy there for a moment and Johns has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kloesov has managed to get both his arms back between Johns's legs - danger averted.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Johns working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kloesov doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kloesov manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Kloesov throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Kloesov tries a low kick but Johns avoids it.
Kloesov throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
We've been told by Johns's head coaches at TC's House Of Pain *LOP* that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Johns looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Kloesov throws a quick inside leg kick.
Johns throws a body kick that misses.
A slapping body kick lands there for Kloesov.
A nice leg kick lands there from Johns.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kloesov throws a looping overhand right but Johns ducks down to avoid it.

Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Kloesov. Johns shrugs it off though.

and Kloesov counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Kloesov cracks Johns with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Oliver Kloesov is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Johns looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Kloesov scores with a head kick. Johns tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.

Johns shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Johns was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Johns is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Kloesov has escaped the position, nice work there.
Johns is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Kloesov can do to turn this around?

Johns thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Kloesov gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

Kloesov is looking to improve his position.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kloesov has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Johns is working away from the top position though.

That was a close second round but I would say that Jimmy Johns will probably get the nod.

Johns changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kloesov tries to avoid it but Johns manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kloesov to the ground. Kloesov escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Johns is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Kloesov is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Johns is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Kloesov knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Johns wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Kloesov, who protects the arm well.
Johns is looking to take a break and control but Kloesov is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Jimmy Johns is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
The referee asks Johns politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Johns prefers to stall for the moment though.
Kloesov tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Johns wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Johns is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Kloesov throws a hook but Johns avoids it easily.

and Johns counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Kloesov swings for the body but Johns moves out of range.
Kloesov tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
A chopping leg kick lands by Johns.
Johns tries to land a front kick but Kloesov steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Kloesov throws a lazy right hand but Johns sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

and Kloesov makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Oliver Kloesov has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Johns tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Johns throws a head kick that misses
and Kloesov connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Kloesov tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Kloesov lands a leg kick that knocks Johns off balance momentarily.
Kloesov misses with a head kick.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jimmy Johns.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Johns, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
